Another good turn, a walnut adventure...

Figured walnut. This is second piece, and I am going to attempt to create a match to the first one. The first is an open vessel. This one I am attempting to top it off with a lid and an inlay of olive wood. I added a coat of shellac, just to seal it, and protect it in the next phase. when I add a perforated ring dyed black. Sanding Fitting the lid. Gluing olive inlay to lid. Hot melted to turning block. cut out on band saw. cut out to except inlay Reverse lid, to create inlay mortise. Olive glue up Add tape to stop glue, and to line up grain

After  the first turning and each time I finish a turning, I add a mixture of shellac, walnut oil (which I didn't like, and used lest of each time.) I also tried tung oil mixed with shellac and two parts alcohol. I can say, as you can see, no other cracks or larger cracks developed. So now my son and I have relocated the business to a smaller suite. We have reduced our  activities to just a few client's we feel comfortable with and also only take on work that we feel fits a less  overwhelmed by paper work. We are working on a small kitchen. We have work lined up for a mouth, and leads that may take us into the coming fall. So we are busy, and it's just the two of us in a 2 thousand square foot suite.  we moved from a 3500 square foot space that we where in for many years. We are a little cramped but we are working on making productive. I like it, the space ...

Time to get up. I think that just starting a new vitamin regimen two days ago. I have been having trouble with pain from eyeballs down through my neck and into my shoulders. Yesterday I had pain behind my eyeball most of the day. My energy levels have been really low for last 10 days, and I had to figure it out. So I thought it could be Low "T", so I did some research on the web and came across "TEST X180", I started taking it with fish oil. I have to say today is my best day in a while.
